About the Role
We have an impactful opportunity within the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work as the Associate Lecturer in Psychology. This Teaching Specialist (Academic) position, has a primary focus on teaching and teaching-related activities, has an important role to play in the University's achievement of its strategic plan, Making a Difference: The 2025 Agenda.
This position will be responsible for contributing to the preparation and delivery of the College's Psychology topics using innovations in teaching practices and technologies, with support and guidance from a more senior academic.
This position will further contribute to the Addressing Critical Psychologist Shortages-Supporting Provisional Psychologists to Practice grant funded by the Australian Government. This position will support the delivery of psychology internships for provisional psychologists partnering with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

About You
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Satisfactory completion of a Master's Degree in Psychology
- Registration as a psychologist with The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Registration with AHPRA as a Board Approved Supervisor
- Demonstrated evidence of making a contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching at the discipline level, including involvement in curriculum development and teaching methodology.
- Demonstrated experience applying innovative approaches to pedagogy and/or curriculum design.
- Evidence of capacity to plan and manage projects.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with staff and students.
