About the Role
The Associate Lecturer in Early Childhood Education will prepare and deliver teaching into the University's Early Childhood Education topics, using innovations in teaching practices and technologies, with support and guidance from a more senior academic.
This position will be primarily responsible for developing alternative pathways into teacher education, with a primary focus on apprenticeships and Diploma-upskill pathways, to address the SA Government's skills gap analysis in the early childhood education workforce. This position will further support the design and implementation of upskill pathways for 2026/2027 within the Education discipline.

About You
The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate the following capabilities.
- Satisfactory completion of a relevant Bachelor and/or Masters or equivalent qualification and experience in early childhood education.
- Relevant and contemporary clinical experience in a relevant field.
- Evidence of teaching experience and delivery of curriculum at a tertiary level within relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in student assessment.
- Demonstrated understanding of curriculum reviews and internal and external accreditation activities.
- Evidence of effective use of innovations and technologies in teaching practices.
- Demonstrated understanding of the nexus between teaching and learning, research and scholarship.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, students and industry.
- Evidence of upholding the values and ethos of the University.
