We have an exciting role for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager at Balaklava Soldiers Memorial District Hospital and Ira Parker Nursing Home.

This is a predominantly indirect role where you'll focus on strategic care planning, staff management, and ensuring compliance with aged care regulations whilst supporting the Transitional Care Package Delivery and facilitating difficult discharges. You will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to improve service delivery, support complex discharge planning, and guide less experienced staff in delivering high-quality care to consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the NUM to promote continuity of care for residents.

Assist with service management tasks such as performance management, recruitment, rostering, and financial planning.

Oversee care planning for the older person, identifying and managing risks.

Support the reporting requirements in line with aged care regulations.

Lead and guide the care of Transitional Care Package consumers and assist with their discharge planning.

What We’re Looking For:

Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-registration experience.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Experience in the use of clinical software (e.g., Sunrise EMR, Leecare, Microsoft Office).

Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage competing priorities.
