DescriptionThe Product Owner is responsible for managing product features and creating innovative solutions for customer requirements. This role demands adept problem-solving, meticulousness, and effective task prioritisation. Engagement with clients, collaboration with diverse teams, data analysis, and clear communication are essential.
Reporting to the Technical Product Manager, this role will be an integral member of the Product team and will work collaboratively with their colleagues to contribute to the development and optimization of legal solutions that enhance productivity and compliance, ultimately supporting the organization’s strategic goals and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Specifications in the form of epics, stories, BDD scenarios, user journeys and wireframes.
- Run interviews with clients and stakeholders to learn about relative priorities and likely usability of product concepts and designs.
- Run early adopter programs with customers to ensure built product delivers an excellent user experience.
- Participate in sizing, grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Support scrum master, developers and testers in their understanding of requirements.
- Sign offs on unit tests & test plans.
- Perform acceptance testing of user stories.
- Produce or support the production of documentation such as product description, user guides, trainer guides, training material and more.
- As product SME, facilitate the resolution of escalated customer support issues.
- Coordinate a team of developers, UI / UX Designers and Quality / Test Analyst towards a designated product goal and ensure all team members understand the scope of work for delivery
- Keep continuous track of resources and manage time and resources to deliver product improvements
- Organise and prioritise a backlog of stories and epics that deliver on product and business objectives.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 5+ years’ experience in a product owner (or adjacent) role (important)
- Agile development methodology (important).
- User experience research/validation methodologies (important)
- ITIL® Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar (nice to have)
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of agile process and principles
- Ability to analyse, interpret and evaluate data
- Excellent understanding of the requirements of writing quality business and technical documentation
- Knowledge and understanding of good practice testing and quality assurance
- Working knowledge of software development
- Strong experience in story/bug tracking tools and authoring wikis
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and people within all levels of the business
- Excellent understanding of the requirements of writing quality business and technical documentation
- Strong communication and active listening skills (written and verbal)
- An ability to adapt processes to fit the needs and objectives of any strategic
- Ability to explain business and technical requirements to all members of a team and measure product success
- Calm under pressure and attention to detail
