Our Client:

One of Australia's leading steel manufacturing company. Work in their Plant Mill based in Port Kembla which is responsible for processing large steel slabs into precision-cut flat steel plates distributed to customers across a range of critical industries - including construction, mining, infrastructure, heavy machinery, and shipbuilding.

The Role:

As a valuable member of the production line crew, your key tasks include:

• Operating machinery to process and shape steel plates
• Use guillotine systems to cut and remove defects
• Perform manual grinding to assure steel quality surfaces
• Assist dispatch: crane chasing, operate the Forklift, and other general duties as required.
• Work on a rotating roster (day/night/weekdays/weekends)

Selection Criteria:

• Forklift (LF) licence preferred or willingness to obtain
• Overhead Crane (CB) ticket preferred willingness to obtain
• Experience in production environment is good to have
• Able to pass a medical, including Drug & Alcohol testing
• Own transport, depot is not accessible via public transport
