About the role
The Business Lead (Accountant) will provide professional financial management services within WVPHN. This position will assist the Finance team to achieve the WVPHN’s goals, including the timely production of internal and external reports.
This role will be accountable for assisting with the management and monitoring of organisational financial performance against budget and the production of detailed reports for internal management.
This is a hybrid role based from anywhere in the western Victoria region, with some travel required for training and team days.
Duties include:
Assist Senior Management in a trusted advisor role to provide full understanding of key business drivers, funding deeds and risk profile of each business unit
Provide effective communication and build financial capacity in the business units of financial imperatives, processes and systems
Assist with the annual and rolling budgets for the organisation for all funding streams & cost centres
Analyse and work with the enterprise budgeting module in Technology One including reviews and forecasts to ensure funding objectives are met
Prepare monthly management reports, ensuring high accuracy to provide insights to enable decision making
Key Selection Criteria (KSC) includes:
Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, or business
Qualified CPA/CA with 2-3 years’ experience in management accounting and/or high-level financial accounting.
High knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to engage with multiple stakeholders with competing interests to achieve desired outcomes

Employment requirements:
Be prepared to undergo a National Police Check, prior to appointment
A current Victorian driver’s licence
