About the role
The Project Accountant will work as an integral member within the Finance team, supporting financial governance in all transactions and financial systems. This position will primarily deliver projects across the Finance, Contracts and Commissioning directorate, working with team members across all directorates to deliver on projects. This position will also assist with month end and year end processing, audit and other financial tasks as directed.
This is a hybrid role based from anywhere in the western Victoria region, with some travel required for training and team days.
Duties include:
Assist with month and year end and audit financial activities as directed
Assist in TechnologyOne system administration, plus implementation of TechnologyOne CIA incl. modules and business cases to support business growth and efficiencies
Support Senior Managers within the directorate with development, implementation, monitoring, delivery, and evaluation of all aspects of the projects
Develop or contribute to identifying project timelines, stakeholders, deliverables, benefits (or outcome) realisation planning with the team and in line with funding and reporting obligations
Actively identify and log risks, assumptions, issues, dependency, and decisions and monitor delegations for action
Key Selection Criteria (KSC) includes:
Qualified in commerce or business with a CPA/CA
Demonstrated experience with financial systems and system implementation
Demonstrated project management experience with multiple stakeholder projects or programs
Demonstrated experience in policy and/or framework development, end-user education and resource development

Employment requirements:
Be prepared to undergo a National Police Check, prior to appointment
A current Victorian driver’s licence
