In collaboration with the Queensland State Government, Emanate Technology is looking for a Test Manager to lead the testing effort for a high-impact digital project, revamping a workforce tracking solution used by professional staff. This role offers the chance to modernise processes, improve integration with payroll systems, and support a smoother user experience across the board.

What you’ll be doing

• Scoping test strategy, defining objectives, timelines, and required tools
• Leading a skilled test team, managing workloads, and mentoring team members
• Coordinating end-to-end test execution and ensuring timely delivery of milestones
• Logging, prioritising, and resolving system issues and bugs alongside developers
• Organising and overseeing the setup of test environments with internal tech teams
• Keeping documentation up to date and producing regular reports for key stakeholders
• Escalating roadblocks where needed and ensuring testing aligns with project goals
• Driving quality assurance to ensure full coverage and compliance

What you need to bring

• Experience leading enterprise-level testing initiatives, particularly in HR or Payroll systems
• Background in managing high-performing teams and supporting professional growth
• Demonstrated ability to interpret enterprise agreements or complex award conditions
• Experience applying business rules to test case design and outcome validation
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA for test management, issue tracking, and reporting
• Track record of juggling multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across technical and business teams
• Proven ability to maintain structured documentation and oversee defect resolution
