About our team
The Digital Platforms team is responsible for BCE's Foundational Technology, Security Operations, Service Operations and School Technology within Information and Technology. The team ensures that the networks and supporting technologies for employees, schools, and students are secure, accessible, effective, and well-managed. Our agile team delivers high-performing infrastructure and systems, providing responsive IT support, managing cybersecurity, and guiding best-practice IT operations in schools. Summary
Leverage your expertise in strategy and collaboration across Brisbane Catholic Education, driving enhancements in operational efficiency. Lead the Service Operations Team in providing high-quality, customer-focused support. Coordinate day-to-day IT operations including the Service Desk, incident and major incident response, and end-user support across BCEO. Manage and advise on service delivery by ensuring adequate Service Desk staffing, acting as Change and Problem Manager for IT, refining service request processes, and engaging with managers and product portfolio coordinators to ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests.

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Lead and deliver strategic objectives aligned with the organisation's IT Service Management and Service Operations goals, providing expert advice to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
- Manage high-performing teams across functional areas, ensuring effective workforce planning and delivery of team goals.
- Analyse trends in incidents and requests to inform strategic direction, policy, and process improvements through data-driven insights.
- Develop and implement strategic processes including risk planning, contingency, and change management to support the rollout of new services.
- Optimise service delivery by managing resources, setting standards, and creating operational frameworks that support long-term outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership and specialist advice, staying current with developments in BCE's IT knowledgebase to enhance end-user self-service and support.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across all levels to assess change impacts, facilitate readiness, and ensure smooth transitions for business and school teams.
- Oversee third-party supplier engagement and ensure delivery of agreed outcomes.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in ServiceNow, leading end-to-end implementations and optimising workflows to enhance service delivery, streamline operations, and drive continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Undertaking the development and review of strategic processes.
- Being responsible for the implementation and delivery of strategic objectives and attainment.
- Identifying function area needs for now and the future.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage resources effectively to deliver strategic and operational outcomes.
- Skilled in analysing service trends and implementing improvements that align with organisational goals.
- Stakeholder engagement across an organisation at a Senior level.
- Managing teams across different function areas.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, information technology, information systems, or a related field (post-graduate qualifications preferred).
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded.
