An exciting opportunity exists for an Allied Health Team Leader (Principal Project Officer) to join the interdisciplinary Sunshine Coast Persistent Pain Management Service (SCPPMS) two days a week in a permanent job-shared position with our current Advanced Allied Health Practitioner / Allied Health Team Leader.
The Sunshine Coast Persistent Pain Service is an interdisciplinary service which offers individual and or group based multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs for the treatment of patients with persistent pain within an ambulatory setting. The SC PPMS model of care includes the Calderdale Framework. It is an expectation that all staff within the service will engage with this framework and undertake skill sharing, appropriate delegation and, where required, competency based training.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Work as an autonomous and advanced level practitioner in the management of patients with persistent pain in partnership with Persistent Pain Service team members, providing expert diagnosis and case management of patients with complex persistent pain.
- Provide professional leadership for Health Practitioners and Advanced Allied Health Assistants within the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of high quality services to patients with persistent pain.
- Develop and apply a high level of knowledge of contemporary trends in health workforce and service delivery and identify opportunities and strategies to introduce changes in roles and new models of care.
- Provide independent high level specialist clinical services that are evidence based, including diagnosis and management with advanced clinical reasoning, for patients with persistent pain.
Remuneration value up to $69 046 p.a., comprising salary rates $73.12 - $76.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (part time position, 30.4 hrs p.f.). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).

About Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service
Public health services in Queensland are provided through 16 Hospital and Health Services (HHS). These are statutory bodies each governed by a Hospital and Health Board. Some public health services are also provided by private providers.
