There’s a special moment ahead for one of our beloved senior baristas — as they step away to welcome a new life into the world, we’re opening up a new role for someone to step in and help carry the torch.

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Barista to join the crew — someone with solid experience, a calm presence on the bar, and a deep respect for the craft. We're also open to part-time applicants who bring the right energy and experience.

While the role includes time at both of our venues, your primary station will be at Coffee Anthology — our high-volume, multi-roaster flagship café in Brisbane CBD.

About the Venues

At Coffee Anthology — where it all started. We open seven days a week, and every one of them brings something new. Multi-roaster coffees rotate through, alongside food and pastry from our kitchen crew. It’s busy, but in the best way. A bit of chaos, a lot of coffee, and a whole heap of regulars we know by name and order. Earlier this year, we were honoured to be named #8 Best Coffee Shop in the World at CoffeeFest Madrid — and that recognition speaks to the heart our team puts into the cup.

Inside Anthology, we’ve carved out a little corner called Guest Coffee — a dedicated bar where we showcase one roaster a month, often from halfway across the globe. It’s stripped back, minimalist, and focused on nothing but the coffee in the cup.

Just a short walk away is The Maillard Project, we roast everything in-house on our Loring S7, right in the heart of the CBD. It's a sleek space with a science-lab vibe — clean, efficient, and all about precision. We run Slayers, Stradas, Synessos... you name it. We open Monday to Friday, 7am till 3:30pm, serving nothing but coffee and pastry, but trust us, we do it with obsession-level care.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

Has at least 2 years’ experience in a senior role within a busy specialty coffee

Can handle dial-ins, workflow, QC, and high-volume service with confidence

Pours clean, consistent latte art under pressure

Keeps the bench tidy and runs smooth during the rush

Cares about people as much as coffee — because service matters

Holds permanent residency (sorry, we can’t accept student, working holiday)
