We are a progressive firm of Chartered Accountants that has been servicing the Geelong region since 1986 (having originally operated as the Geelong office of international firm Coopers & Lybrand).

Ideally we are seeking an enthusiastic and professionally minded Under-Graduate Accountant who is in the midst of completing a Bachelor of Commerce Degree looking for a rewarding future in a public practice environment.

Most importantly the successful applicant will have a very strong knowledge of the debits and credits accounting process, and a similar understanding of an entity’s trial balance.

We are passionate about helping our clients build their business and achieve financial success – we specialise in providing exemplary business and taxation advisory services to a wide range of clients including small and medium sized business entities, self-managed superannuation funds, high net wealth individuals, charities and businesses with interstate and international connections.

We are a technically skilled team which allows us to offer high-end advice to our clients. We invest in our team by mentoring junior accountants and offering them regular professional training, as well as additional training to new accountants to assist them in settling into their role.

We also provide support to our employees should they want to do further studies such as CA or CPA, and they are encouraged to do so. We are members of professional networking groups of which the successful applicant will be able to attend to expand their own personal network.

The new Accountant will initially be responsible for assisting the Senior Accountants and Partners with preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, business activity statements and ad hoc business advice as required. With experience they should develop their knowledge and skills and be capable of performing effectively with minimal supervision, and in the longer term be responsible for servicing our clients.

The position is initially part-time, with the expectation that it will transition to full-time upon degree completion.

We offer some flexibility with working hours, and would expect the successful applicant to work approximately 3 days per week whilst studying.

We offer excellent working conditions and the starting remuneration package will be at the full time equivalent annualised rate of $60,000 p.a. inclusive of superannuation guarantee contributions.

Commencement date is flexible depending on the applicant's circumstances.
