About the Company

Girls with Gems is an e-commerce fashion store located in Double Bay. We are lean and tech-forward team that likes to move the ball quick. Day to day you will be working closely with the e-commerce team to push out theme updates to the online store and the app via Tapcart.

This will involve using pre-made blocks and sections as well writing code to create your own custom blocks and sections. We are automation heavy and rely on Shopify Flow for many day to day operations as well as handling campaigns, you be required to have a good understanding of Flow and setup new automations and maintain the existing ones.

You will also work with the Operations team to maintain the existing automations and shipping integrations that streamline logistics. Less common tasks include updating custom built systems for handling inventory, updating code on a custom built Shopify App for our Shopify POS systems.

The Role

An ideal candidate should be able to think logically and assist in problem solving across all tech aspects of the business.We're looking for a detail-oriented Web Developer with experience in Shopify to help elevate our ecommerce experience across web and mobile. You’ll work closely with the ecommerce team to ensure our site and app are optimised, visually aligned with the brand, and technically seamless - from custom landing pages to backend automations and everything in between!

What the role includes:

- Working closely with the e-commerce team to develop shopify themes

- Working with operations team to streamline logistics

- Troubleshooting site issues across web and app

- Create automations using Shopify Flow for operations and campaigns

- Update existing integrations and work on adding in new integrations for Klaviyo and Okendo

- Helping further build, maintain, and optimise both customisations within the website and app

- Integrating and maintaining third-party apps, APIs, and automation flows

- Update App Blocks in Tapcart

Experience

- Shopify Ecosystem knowledge and understanding

- 3-5 years of liquid experience

- 3-5 of frontend dev experience and proficient in Javascript

- Worked with Shopify Flow

- Worked with shipping integrations

- Worked with integrating Klaviyo and Okendo into Shopify

- Proficient with prompting and using LLMs

- Knows Remix and the Shopify App development

- Understands multi-market Shopify stores

- Familar with CRO & AB Testing software

- Google Analytics
