This opportunity will be sitting within the Institutional Banking Compliance function, focusing on identifying and managing conflicts of interest at an enterprise level. The role offers the chance to work closely with stakeholders across the globe, influencing policy development and driving risk oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing enterprise-wide monitoring and reporting of conflict of interest risks
• Leading policy implementation, ensuring clear awareness and delivery of training across the business
• Advising on transactional conflicts, personal account dealings, and employee-related conflicts
• Providing regular insights and reporting on emerging global risk themes
• Overseeing incident breach management, compliance obligations, internal controls etc

To succeed in this role:

• Prior experience working in a Control Room Compliance environment
• Strong knowledge of institutional products and advisory services (products such as institutional loans/corporate finance etc)
• Practical understanding of policy life cycle management, compliance obligations, and control design
• Strong background in Line 1 or 2 Compliance
• Experience with reporting, analysis, and risk-based insights
• Exposure to international institutional banking
• Open to candidates either based in Sydney or Melbourne
