About Us
South West Community Care is a not-for-profit Organisation and Registered Charity local to the South West, providing aged care and in-home services to the local community. It is managed by a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who is supported by a Chief Governance Officer and Management Team overseeing operations and supporting a team of over 120 employees and volunteers. The CEO, in conjunction with a volunteer Board of Management, sets the strategic direction for the organisation.
South West Community Care is managed locally and embraces the ‘Wellness’ Approach when delivering care to eligible older Australians in the Community approximately 1000 clients currently, providing services designed to maintain independence dignity and quality of life for our ageing community. These services are delivered by compassionate and caring staff working within the guidelines set out by the Aged Care Charter of Rights and Code of Conduct for Aged Care to deliver person centred care to optimise positive outcomes.

Position Purpose
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the purpose of your role is:
The Project Officer undertakes responsibility for moderately complex projects, performs project management and supports activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established objectives defined within the project scope.
Position Responsibilities
As a Project Officer you will be responsible for and assisting with:
Project Management - management of complex projects, you will need the ability to plan and react to new information.
Problem Solving - ability to prioritise and focus on the most important issues.
Research & Analysis - You’re a detailed thinker; you ask a lot of questions and enjoy getting into technical details.
Aged Care Service Provision - Maintain knowledge of legislation, guidelines and information relevant to Aged Care service provision and funding.
Communication – You have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. You’ll need to build and maintain great relationships with key stakeholders.
Attention to Detail - Provide accurate and detailed briefings, submissions, and other documentation as required.
To thrive in this role you will have:
- Diploma of Project Management / Diploma of Business or a related field.
- Proven ability to establish performance outcomes and measures for key project goals, and define monitoring, reporting and communication requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to research and analyse information and make recommendations based on relevant evidence.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and open channels of communication.
- Proven ability in analysing large data sets, identify meaningful insights and inform business decision-making.
- Highly developed written skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Office Base Location
Based at the Australind Office but will be required to work from other sites.
