THE ROLE

The Receptionist (Telephonist) / Administration Support Officer provides support to the Quality and Compliance Manager in the delivery of administrative services to the organisation in line with Regional Housing policy. The position is one of the primary points of contact for all incoming telephone enquiries, and when unable to re-direct the call or make an appointment booking, will ensure accurate and correct messages are sent to the responsible team in a timely fashion and ensure clear expectations for our customers regarding return phone calls.

Outside of the telephone lines, the Administration Support Officer is a key role supporting the Quality and Compliance Manager in areas of recording and distributing incoming email correspondence, formatting and updating of documents and letters, conducting internal compliance assessments, recording accurate and correct minutes for meetings as directed and providing general administrative support and excellent internal customer support, to the Quality and Compliance Team and larger organisation as required.

ESSENTIAL

Successful pass achieved on pre-employment validation and assessment including but not limited to police check, employment history and background check, qualifications and skills validation

Current Queensland Working with Children Check - Positive Notice Blue Card issued by Blue Card Services.

Clearance achieved on NDIS Worker Screening Check (or state equivalent)

DESIRABLE

Current Queensland Drivers Licence

SELECTION CRITERIA

Demonstrated relevant experience, training and/or education in the area of administration.

Experience in reception, data entry and general administrative tasks.

Good time management and organisational skills.

Good interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer service.

Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a range of people.

High level computing skills across the range of Microsoft products and the ability to quickly assimilate knowledge of new computing and other systems.

A mature and calm approach to managing customers who may be suffering crisis or distress.
