About the role

RJ's Engineering Solutions is seeking a skilled Full time Machinist to join our growing team in Burton, South Australia. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in our workplace as a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating various machine tools to produce high-quality parts and components for our clients in the engineering and manufacturing industries.

What you'll be doing

Operating a range of machine tools including CNC lathe, manual lathes, mills and other specialised equipment, we are happy to put through CNC course/training if willing to learn,

Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate part production

Performing precision measurements and quality inspections to maintain the highest standards of workmanship

Maintaining and troubleshooting machine tools to ensure optimal performance and efficiency

Collaborating with the engineering team to identify process improvements and optimize production workflows

Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

Option to work most weekends/overtime

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Machinist in a similar manufacturing or engineering environment

Demonstrated proficiency in operating a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills and CNC machines

Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues quickly

A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the engineering and production teams

Any mechanical fitting experience would be preferred,
