Ausure is seeking a qualified Broker to join the existing team in our Young office.

The Opportunity:

Based in Young, the successful applicant will manage an existing book of Business and General Insurance clients. Your focus will be to provide quality advice, maintain our high levels of client retention, convert new business opportunities and grow the portfolio.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Deliver a high-level client experience for existing clients and new business prospects.

Manage and grow an existing book of SME and Corporate clients from a wide range of industries.

Actively work with management to identify and convert new business opportunities.

Provide technical advice, risk management solutions and expert claims advice (claims are managed by our Claims Team).

Develop, deliver and maintain tailored insurance programs.

Negotiate risk transfer/management solutions based on a client’s individual profile and requirements.

Build and nurture productive, trusting and lasting relationships with insurers, referrers and other key business partners.

Oversee general portfolio management.

Overall management of client and portfolio profitability.

Contribute to the strategic direction of the business.

Assist with mentoring and developing staff.

Develop relationships with internal specialist teams to service client referrals.

To be successful the ideal candidate will possess:

5 years+ industry experience and a minimum Tier 1 qualification.

Strong technical knowledge across all classes of insurance.

Strong verbal and written communication skills including relationship management.

A commitment to exceptional client service, compliance and quality advice.

Self-motivated and driven to succeed.

Attention to detail, discipline and professionalism.

A friendly disposition and a commitment to being part of a team environment.

Proficiency in MS Office, Insight and insurer quoting systems.

Exceptional data, numerical and analytical skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to provide clear and insightful recommendations based on your findings.

Show confidence and passion in your interactions with clients, insurers and our team.

Have experience servicing and growing a commercial insurance portfolio.

Ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.

Highly developed interpersonal communication skills including the ability to consult and liaise with a diverse range of people, using initiative, problem solving and applying sound judgment.
