MARS Recruitment is partnering with a high-growth, fund administration platform in the search for a newly created role as Head of Fund Administration in Sydney.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative business at the forefront of transforming how private investments are accessed, managed, and experienced. As the Head of Fund Administration, you'll play a key role in building and scaling operational capabilities across a range of asset classes, working closely with senior leadership to deliver best-in-class service and technology-led solutions.
The Responsibilities:
- Drive the growth of the fund administration function, including strategy development, service delivery models, pricing structures, and commercial operations.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of fund accountants and operations professionals across the APAC region.
- Take full ownership of the fund administration business performance-managing revenue, profitability, client satisfaction, and team capability.
- Develop and refine efficient, repeatable workflows using the in-house platform as the operational backbone, with a focus on continuous improvement in service quality and delivery.
- Act as the voice of operations, identifying product gaps and working closely with internal teams to shape enhancements to fund accounting and operational features.
- Lead client engagements, build trusted relationships with CFOs and COOs, and ensure an outstanding service experience that drives long-term retention and referrals.
What we're looking for:
- CA/CPA qualification and/or a strong background in fund accounting.
- 5+ years' experience in fund administration or operations, ideally with exposure to private equity, real estate, or private credit.
- Proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
- Organised, analytical, and tech-savvy, with a focus on scalable operational delivery.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-first approach, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders confidently.
- Driven and ambitious, with a desire to take ownership and contribute to meaningful growth.
