MARS Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading global investment bank in search of a Senior Fund Accountant to support their team through year-end and onwards. Renowned for their strong presence across both local and international markets, our client is recognised as a market leader within the Sydney financial services sector.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of fund administration services to a range of institutional clients, including asset managers and superannuation funds. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting, mentoring junior staff, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical queries and ensure compliance.

• Prepare and review fund accounting deliverables including unit pricing, statutory and regulatory reporting
• Perform and review tax calculations including BAS/GST, distributions, and taxable income
• Liaise directly with clients and internal teams to resolve issues and queries efficiently
• Coordinate and process documentation across the full policy lifecycle
• Ensure outputs are compliant with regulatory and operational risk standards
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement and operational efficiency
• Support and mentor junior team members in a collaborative environment

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 3-5+ years' experience in fund accounting and/or unit pricing
• Strong understanding of unit pricing, tax reporting and distribution calculations
• Previous experience working within custody, investment administration, or fund services
• Familiarity with systems such as Hi-Portfolio and strong Excel skills
• Strong stakeholder management and client service skills
• Proven ability to meet deadlines within Service Level Agreement (SLA) frameworks
• CA/CPA qualified is desired but not compulsory
