Role Description

This is a pivotal opportunity for a highly analytical Management Accountant/Financial Analyst to join a key finance team within a global manufacturing environment. Based in Lane Cove, you'll be responsible for supporting the business through the coordination, preparation, and reporting of accurate and concise financial management accounts. This hands-on role provides critical support in budgeting, forecasting, and in-depth variance analysis, offering vital insights for business performance improvements. You'll be instrumental in ensuring robust financial management and contribute to compliance and control frameworks within a complex, project-driven setting.

This role is offered as a 12-month temp to perm opportunity, with a high likelihood of transitioning to a permanent position. It offers a daily rate of $450 - $560, depending on your experience and qualifications. Located in Lane Cove, NSW, you'll have the opportunity to develop your analytical skills within a global organisation, contributing directly to significant programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting Coordination: Assist in the meticulous preparation and timely submission of comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages, ensuring adherence to all internal and external deadlines.
• Cost Centre Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of Cost Centre financial performance, providing insightful variance commentary on key drivers and offering strategic guidance for future forecasting initiatives.
• Resource Utilisation Transparency: Provide support in managing and interpreting resource planning reports to enhance transparency and understanding of workforce utilisation and efficiency across the business.
• Budgeting and Forecasting Co-ordination: Actively assist and coordinate the overall financial forecasting and budgeting processes for various Cost Centres, collaborating effectively with relevant stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation & Integrity: Perform thorough reconciliations of various Balance Sheet accounts, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records.
• Audit Support and Liaison: Provide comprehensive support for enquiries and requirements during both external and internal audits, ensuring the timely provision of necessary documentation and explanations.
• Program & Operational Support: Undertake other duties as requested, leveraging technical competency to support program and operational requirements, ensuring all tasks are performed to required standards and in compliance with lawful directives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Australian Citizenship is required.
• Current Baseline Security Clearance or the ability to get one is required
• CPA/CA qualification is highly desirable.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptionally good oral and written communication abilities, facilitating effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work autonomously, displaying initiative and accountability in achieving objectives.
• Understanding and experience with Earned Value Concepts.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft suites (Excel proficiency is essential).
