Customer Service Team Leaders - NSW Government
We are seeking three experienced Team Leaders to support a high-impact government program focused on grants assessment and service delivery.
Key Details:
- Assignment Duration: ASAP start (pending police check) anticipated until 30 September 2025
- Pay Rate: $62.66 per hour + super
- Work Hours: 7 hours/day, 35 hours/week, Monday–Friday (between 8am and 5pm)
- Location: Hybrid – work from home and 2 days per week at one of the following offices: Sydney CBD, Parramatta or Gosford
- Note: Candidates must be NSW-based with access to high-speed internet. Interstate applicants cannot be considered.
Your Role:
As a Team Leader, you will oversee and coordinate a small team within a grant assessment function, supporting timely, accurate, and compliant service delivery. You’ll play a key role in guiding team performance, improving capability, and ensuring operational goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a small team, allocating and coordinating workflows to meet performance targets
- Support and oversee assessments of complex grant applications
- Conduct investigations and ensure compliance with relevant policy and eligibility criteria
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and represent the team in relevant meetings
- Prepare, review, and maintain high-quality documentation and work instructions
- Provide training and coaching to support continuous improvement and capability building
- Contribute to broader project deliverables and reporting requirements
- Source, compile and manage data to support reporting and insights
About You:
- Proven experience in team leadership within a fast-paced, service or compliance-based environment
- Strong understanding of assessment, eligibility, or regulatory processes (grants experience highly regarded)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to mentor and develop staff while meeting KPIs and service standards
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with high self-management and accountability
