As we expand, we're looking for a second Technical Lead who’s passionate about technology, UX/UI design, and building resilient, people-centred systems.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a reliable, delivery-focused Technical Lead to join our tea with deep experience across AWS, Angular, and Node.js, and a genuine passion for all things tech and user experience. You'll be responsible for hands-on coding, leading backend development, conducting code reviews, and mentoring a junior developer. You'll also guide project planning and report directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Delivery

Build and deploy scalable full-stack solutions using Angular and Node.js on AWS

Perform rigorous code reviews and ensure clean, maintainable code

Manage GitHub branches and enforce best practices in version control

Own web hosting environments and basic DevOps activities

Bring a strong UX/UI sensibility, ensuring technical choices enhance the user experience

Oversea a small portfolio of Webhosting clients

Oversee a small portfolio of Zoho Clients

Planning & Team Management

Maintain and manage the technical backlog within an Agile project environment

Plan sprints, prioritise work, and deliver incremental releases

Directly mentor and support one junior developer, guiding their growth and output

Provide regular updates to the Managing Director, flagging risks and opportunities

Required Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency in AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.

Strong hands-on experience with Angular (TypeScript) and Node.js

Familiarity with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and scalable systems

GitHub branch and repository management

Solid understanding of web hosting principles, basic DevOps and CI/CD workflows

Awareness of Zoho Products as we're a reseller

Reliable and takes full ownership of tasks and delivery timelines

Positive outlook and enjoys working with people as well as tech

Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts to stakeholders

Strong planning and organisational skills in an Agile environment

High level of attention to UX/UI, and commitment to quality user-centred solutions

A genuine enthusiasm for technology and a proactive approach to innovation

Desirable (Nice to Have)

Experience in two-sided marketplaces or SaaS platforms

Familiarity with Docker, serverless patterns, or API gateway management

Exposure to security, performance optimisation, and cloud cost management
