About the Role

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of two businesses in a family hospitality group. You’ll oversee everything from accounts payable and receivable to payroll processing, ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping across our hotel and restaurant operations

Oversee accounts payable and receivable

Administer payroll processes efficiently and accurately

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations

Support cash flow management

Implementing and improving on existing accounting strategies to streamline practices

Generate financial statements, activity reports, and revenue forecasts

Maintain accurate records in Xero and MYOB, ensuring timely reconciliations

Support the broader team with ad hoc financial and administrative tasks

Skills & Experience Required

✅ Proficiency in Xero

✅ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

✅ Excellent communication and organisational skills

✅ High attention to detail and accuracy

✅ A proactive, solutions-driven approach to challenges

✅ Ability to work independently and collaboratively

✅ Strong understanding of bookkeeping and financial reporting principles

Desirable (but not essential):

➕ Experience using hospitality property management systems (PMS) – we use RMS

➕ Familiarity with rostering software – we use Deputy
