As the firm reaches new heights, they're looking for a Senior Design Manager to join the dynamic team and lead the design phase across a portfolio of landmark projects.

About the Role
As a Senior Design Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading consultant teams to deliver concept designs for Development Applications (DAs), while ensuring alignment with project vision, authority requirements, and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate a team of architects, engineers, and consultants from concept through to DA submission across multiple projects.
• Ensure design compliance with client briefs, project feasibility parameters, and regulatory standards (NCC, BCA, BASIX, D&BP Act, etc).
• Manage engagement with planning and approval authorities, ensuring smooth navigation through the approvals process.
• Develop and maintain design programmes, ensuring key milestones are met and risks are proactively managed.
• Oversee consultant budgets and collaborate with construction and cost planning teams to develop cost plans aligned with feasibility targets.
• Review design documentation for quality, compliance, and buildability.
• Work closely with the development and construction teams to ensure a seamless transition from design to delivery.

What You’ll Bring:

• 8+ years' experience in Design Management within the property development or construction sectors.
• Strong technical knowledge of building regulations and planning frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in managing design timelines, consultant deliverables, and authority approvals.
• A detail-oriented, solutions-driven mindset with a passion for great design and buildable outcomes.
