We’re after a capable, confident all-rounder who can juggle client liaison, quoting support, accounts and admin — someone just as comfortable behind a spreadsheet as they are following up a council submission or briefing a client on their dream backyard.

This is a key role in a small, award-winning landscaping and pool construction company based in Hobart. You’ll work closely with the business owner, and onsite team to make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

About You

You're an experienced admin all-rounder who is proactive, organised, and just get things done. Ideally, you’ve worked in construction, landscaping, or a similar fast- paced environment.

You’ll fit right in if:

You’re the kind of person who spots problems and solves them before anyone else notices

You can manage your own time, priorities, and workload without needing a to do list from someone else

You’re comfortable switching gears — from quotes to accounts to client calls - and keeping things moving

Bonus points if you’ve got quoting experience or a forklift licence.

About the Role

This is a varied and hands-on role that sits at the heart of our business operations. You'll work closely with the owner and on-site team to keep projects running smoothly and clients well looked after.

Your day might involve anything from preparing quotes and managing supplier orders, to liaising with clients, handling admin and accounts, or chasing up project details with councils or contractors.

We’re looking for someone who thrives on variety, takes ownership of their work, and can confidently juggle competing priorities. This role suits someone who’s comfortable working independently — there’s very little hand-holding here. You’ll have the freedom to manage your own time and the trust to make things happen. You’ll also have the opportunity to shape and improve how we work, not just follow existing systems.
