About the role

The Manager (Water Operations and Compliance) will lead and manage a multidisciplinary team in delivering compliance and enforcement programs for the Water Management Act 1999.

  • Manage the human, physical, financial, and information resources of the Section.
  • Ensure governance systems, processes, and procedures remain contemporary and fit for purpose.
  • Provide high level specialist and strategic advice on water compliance priorities and strategies.
  • Cultivate stakeholder relationships to maximise client engagement in the development and implementation of water operations and compliance programs.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Desirable requirements
  • Diploma in civil engineering, natural resource management, agriculture or water management, or equivalent level, relevant to the nature of the work to be undertaken, as provided by either a university, a vocational education organisation or a registered and accredited training provider.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in regulation or compliance sectors or water resource management.
  • Current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
  • Certificate in Government Investigations IV or equivalent or ability to attain.
  • Ability to hold and maintain mandatory training requirements for the position including a Certificate in First Aid and competence in 4-wheel drive operation.
