Job Title: Client Service Officer / Financial Planning Assistant
Location: Sunshine Coast – Buddina/Kawana
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Financial Planners
While Coastwise Wealth was established in 2025 and commences trading 01st July 2025, it represents the next chapter of Essential Advice Pty Ltd, a trusted name in Financial Planning on the Sunshine Coast since 2002.
The transition to Coastwise Wealth follows the retirement of Essential Advice’s founding Principal.
Three members of the existing team - bringing over 32 years of combined experience with Essential Advice - have acquired the business and now lead the firm as it looks to continue to serve a long-standing and valued client base.
We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Client Service Officer / Financial Planning Assistant to join our growing practice.

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and client-focused applicant to support our team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the delivery of exceptional client service by managing key administrative functions and assisting advisers in implementing personalised financial strategies.
The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, and takes pride in creating a smooth and engaging experience for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
Administrative Duties: Prepare and organise client documents, financial reports, and presentations; maintain accurate client records in CRM systems; and manage correspondence.
Financial Planning Assistance: Assist financial planners in gathering client data, preparing financial plans, and conducting research.
Meeting Coordination: Schedule and coordinate client meetings, including preparing agendas, materials, and post-meeting summaries.
Compliance and Record-Keeping: Ensure all client files and documentation comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Desired Experience:
1-3 years of experience in client service, financial services, or administrative support.
Previous experience in Financial Planning/Banking or Wealth Management will be highly regarded.
Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with financial planning software (e.g. AdviserLogic) is a plus
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Ability to think outside of the box and be adaptable to change
