Kokatha Aboriginal Corporation (KAC) is seeking two motivated and community-focused Stakeholder Liaison Officers to join our growing team based in Port Augusta, South Australia.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the advancement of the Kokatha people through the effective implementation of stakeholder agreements with major partners including BHP, Northern Water, and Defence.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Stakeholder Liaison Officers will:
Support the implementation and operation of existing stakeholder agreements and Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs).
Provide high-level administrative and logistical support to stakeholder working groups.
Liaise with KAC’s legal team to support negotiations, protocols, and compliance requirements.
Analyse and advise on the delivery of commitments within current and future agreements.
Act as a key point of contact for stakeholder engagement and operational matters.
Participate in cultural and heritage training initiatives with both internal and external stakeholders.
Support the mentoring of Indigenous KAC staff when required.
About you
We’re looking for individuals who bring strong organisational and interpersonal skills, along with a deep respect for Kokatha culture and community values.
Essential:
Demonstrated experience in administration and stakeholder engagement.
High-level written and verbal communication skills.
Sound knowledge of Native Title, ILUAs, and Indigenous governance.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Competency in Microsoft Office and financial/admin systems.
A genuine commitment to the interests and advancement of the Kokatha people.
Desirable:
Kokatha or other Indigenous heritage.
Project officer or negotiation experience.
Qualification in business, community development, or similar.
Licences/Checks Required:
Current Driver’s Licence.
Police Clearance.
