The Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia Limited (AHCSA) is the peak body representing Aboriginal community-controlled health and substance misuse services in South Australia at state and national levels.

Summary of the Role

It also leads the creation and implementation of evaluation methods and data collection techniques, guiding AHCSA and Member Service staff to ensure effective use of evaluation tools, and overseeing evaluations of programs.

The Senior Evaluation Officer builds evaluation capacity across the ACCH sector by training staff and Member Services, developing accessible resources to support evaluation work, and promoting data-driven improvements. The Senior Evaluation Officer will cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, integrate evaluation findings into strategic planning, ensure evaluations meet ethical and quality standards, and keep AHCSA at the forefront of emerging evaluation trends. It also influences policy and advocates for the value of evaluation in driving program refinement and continuous improvement across the sector.
