Marketing & Events Assistant
Are you an energetic, detail-oriented and creative professional who thrives in a dynamic environment? We are looking for a Marketing & Events Assistant who is not just a great communicator and organiser, but someone who goes above and beyond — no task too small, no challenge too big.
About the Role
In this diverse and hands-on role, you will support the delivery of a wide range of marketing activities and college events. Your days will be varied — you will work closely with the Marketing & Events Coordinator to assist with producing digital content, updating social media platforms, proofreading newsletters, liaising with suppliers, and providing hands-on support with event setup and logistics.
This position is a full-time, continuing (38hrs per week) position. Flexible working arrangements, salary packaging options, 12.75% superannuation and many more perks!
Marketing:
Create engaging content across social and digital platforms.
Ensure marketing materials align with our brand and values.
Maintain our photo and digital asset libraries.
Support the editing and compilation of the college yearbook and newsletter.
Collaborate with suppliers on branded materials and promotional items.
Take photos and assist with internal communications and visual displays.
Events:
Assist in planning, coordinating and delivering events such as assemblies, formal functions, and community days.
Coordinate event bookings, manage RSVPs, and prepare event collateral.
Support logistics including venue setup, AV, catering, signage, and photography.
Act as a welcoming front-of-house presence for all college events.
Help with post-event wrap-up, feedback, and maintaining event records.
What we are looking for:
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and a flair for creative thinking.
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in all aspects of marketing and events.
Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and working to deadlines.
Excellent written communication and proofreading skills.
Proficiency with social media platforms, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, in particular - In Design.
