About the Role
As our Assistant Centre Manager and Educational Leader, you will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the centre and ensure compliance with regulations. Your role also includes mentoring staff, leading the implementation of our educational program and fostering a collaborative environment with Educators, families and the community. You will be pivotal in facilitating professional discussions, monitoring educational programs and overseeing behaviour guidance strategies.

- Willingness to undertake a hybrid leadership role with flexibility to step off the floor as needed based on operational requirements
- Interest in, passion for, or experience with the RIE approach, along with the commitment to role model and embed this in daily practice
- Confidence to lead and support the implementation of contemporary, evidence-informed pedagogy, as well as innovative, child-centred programming
- Enthusiastic, dependable, and dedicated to achieving excellence in Early Childhood Education, with a growth mindset and a willingness to evolve alongside the service
- Capacity and motivation to build and maintain strong professional relationships and meaningful connections with children, families, colleagues, and the wider community.
Essential Criteria:
- Valid NSW Working With Children Check
- Solid understanding of contemporary child-safe practices
- Available for full-time work, five days per week, across all operational hours of the service
- ACECQA approved Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or a recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree, or working towards, depending on course progress
- Significant proven leadership experience in an Early Childhood setting, ideally as an Educational Leader and/or Assistant Centre Manager, though other leadership roles will also be considered
- Current relevant certifications in First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis as well as Child Protection training (CHCPRT025 - 'Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk') completed within the last 12 months, or a willingness to obtain/renew as required.
Please note this is a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential for ongoing employment based on performance and organisational needs.
