Rostering & Administration Officer - Aged Care
Full Time - 38 Hours Per Week
6 Month Contract (with the possibility of extension)

South Eastern Community Connect (SECC) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Rostering & Administration Officer to join our Aged Care team. In this full-time role, you will play a key part in supporting our mission to deliver high-quality, in-home services to people living independently at home.
As the Rostering & Administration Officer, you’ll be responsible for the coordination and rostering of support workers to meet the needs of our clients. Your role ensures the smooth operation of daily service delivery and supports the well-being of both clients and staff.
About the role
Coordinate and maintain efficient and effective rosters for care workers and allied health professionals to ensure client needs are met
Monitor and update schedules to accommodate leave, absences, and operational adjustments, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery
Ensure timely and accurate data entry and maintenance within scheduling software
Work closely with Case Managers and Aged Care team members to anticipate staff requirements and resolve under–or over-staffing issues
Communicate scheduling updates and changes promptly and clearly to all relevant staff
Maintain rosters in accordance with applicable awards, and internal policies governing shifts and working hours
Provide administration assistance with roster documentation, staff allocation and general scheduling tasks
Collaborate with Case Managers and the Head of Aged Care to integrate new staff into the schedule system efficiently
Support the intake of new clients by ensuring a smooth, empathetic, and compliant onboarding process
Handle general inquiries from clients, families and staff via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and empathy
What SECC is looking for
An understanding of coordinating and delivering care in a person-centred way
Experience in a rostering, scheduling, and / or coordination – Aged Care preferred
Well-developed problem-solving skills including when under pressure
A strong phone manner and ability to remain calm and professional at all times
Strong proficiency in rostering software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Knowledge of SCHADS Award and Fair Work Act (preferred)
