About the Role:
The purpose of this position is to facilitate the preparation and production of printing inks and coatings, while assisting in general warehouse operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. You will be required to mix inks, perform quality checks, and manage stock and materials in a safe, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Ink Preparation & Mixing
•Measure and mix printing inks and coatings according to production specifications
•Ensure colour accuracy and product consistency
Quality Control
•Conduct basic tests on ink batches (colour checks, viscosity measurements)
•Make adjustments under supervision to meet quality standards
Record-Keeping
•Maintain accurate records of ink formulas, batch details, and test results for traceability
Safety Compliance
•Adhere to all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE when handling chemicals and equipment
•Support safe storage and disposal of materials
Team Collaboration
•Take direction from experienced ink technicians and supervisors
•Ask questions, learn continuously, and apply best practices
Warehouse Support
•Assist with labelling, stock organisation, and monitoring inventory levels
•Support incoming/outgoing goods and general warehouse upkeep
Material Handling
•Move materials and products as needed around the facility
•After training and certification, safely operate a forklift for deliveries and heavy materials
