About the Role

As an Ink Technician, you’ll be responsible for mixing, matching, adjusting, and maintaining inks used in our printing operations. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring colour consistency, supporting production lines, and maintaining high print quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Mix and prepare inks based on production specs and Pantone standards

· Conduct colour matching using visual checks and measurement tools (e.g., spectrophotometer)

· Perform ink adjustments during print runs to maintain colour consistency

· Track ink inventory, maintain batch records, and reorder stock as needed

· Work closely with print operators to troubleshoot ink issues

· Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised ink room

· Assist in colour trials and continuous improvement projects

What We’re Looking For

· Experience in a printing, manufacturing, or packaging environment

· Knowledge of ink mixing, colour matching, and Pantone systems

· Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for colour accuracy

· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

· Team player with good communication skills

· Forklift licence and chemical handling knowledge (advantageous)

· Qualifications in printing technology or similar (preferred but not essential)
