My client is a Top 100 Chartered Accounting firm in Sydney's CBD who is seeking an ambitious Intermediate Accountant to grow with their highly spirited team. The organisation offers a variety of advisory and accounting services and deal with a varied mix of clients worth over $300M in turnover.

Having the close mentorship of a highly experienced Manager and Partner, you will be working in a collaborative team dealing with a mix of compliance and advisory work. They will also provide you with exceptional CA mentoring and support in order to build you up to a Senior Accountant level.

Some of the duties in this role include:

The preparation financial statements and tax returns for various SMEs, high net-worth individuals, partnerships and trusts

Preparation of BAS, IAS and GST reconciliations

Preparation of FBT returns

Identifying and application of CGT and Div7a

Assist in tax planning

Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies in relation to clients' tax issues

Ideal Requirements:

Approximately 2 years' experience (or more) in public practice

Relevant Accounting/Commerce degree

Looking to commence CA/CPA or studying

Proficient with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB and Microsoft applications

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills due to the potential client facing nature of role

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
