This internationally affiliated Chartered Accounting organisation is seeking a Heavy Intermediate or Senior Accountant. This emerging powerhouse and full-services professional accounting firm is looking to add to its Accounting and Tax team. This role will give you the opportunity expand your knowledge across various client industries/businesses, complex structures, subsidiaries of international companies, foreign residents, HNWIs, investments entities and SMSFs.

Responsibilities of the role include:

Preparation of income tax returns and financial statements all entities

Preparation of BAS, IAS and GST returns

Preparation of other statutory returns including FBT, payroll tax and land tax

Exposure to management accounting/outsourced accounting function for clients including budgeting and forecasting, payroll, reconciliations, etc).

Liaise with Auditors to meet compliance requirements for SMSFs

Liaise with regulatory bodies

Research on various tax issues arising from the compliance process or the development of client business strategies

Provide assistance to Manager with client management

Ideal candidate:

3 years' (or more) local business services experience

CA/CPA studying or qualified

Australian tertiary qualifications in relevant field

General understanding of Corporations Act, accounting standards and tax legislation

Ability to identify and resolve technical issues and independently research more complex matters

Demonstrated high problem solving ability

Excellent business acumen

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
