The Role:

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will work closely with senior accountants and partners to manage a varied portfolio of SME and high-net-worth clients. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships

Assisting with tax planning and business advisory services

Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies

Supporting junior team members and contributing to ongoing process improvement

Using accounting software such as Xero & MYOB. Knowledge of AO would be advantageous

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 2–4 years' experience in an Australian Chartered Accounting firm

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or related discipline

Working towards or completed CA/CPA qualification

Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax laws and accounting standards

Excellent communication skills and client service mindset

Experience with cloud-based accounting software (MYOB preferred)

Must be a team player
