About the role

Are you an experienced Parts Interpreter with a passion for the automotive industry? We're seeking a Full-Time Parts Interpreter - Backcounter to join our team at Alan Mance Motors Pty Ltd in Footscray, VIC. In this essential role, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service primarely to our internal sales team, ordering and picking accessories for our multi-brandend franchise, supporting our growing pre-delivery department. Base in our Footscray phoneroom, you will also be involved in everyday parts-interpreting according to your experience level.

What you'll be doing

Assisting customers, both in-person and over the phone, to identify and locate the appropriate parts for their vehicles

Ensuring accessories parts are correctly ordered, received, stored and/or reserved/picked for our Pre-Delivery department

Collaborating with the wider team to optimise parts availability, daily and stock orders and streamline operations

Participating in regular stocktaking

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Parts Interpreter or in a similar automotive parts role is a plus, open to quick-learners with on-the -job training provided, automotive background is required

Product knowledge and technical understanding of a wide range of automotive parts and components

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide accurate and helpful information

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to continuous learning
