Due to rapid growth in parts sales, a rare opportunity now exists for an Experienced Full Time Automotive Parts Interpreter - Retail for an Immediate Start to join our well-established multi-franchised dealership. You will be working closely with the Parts Manager & Parts Retail Staff to learn all aspects of our fast-paced Parts Department. The successful applicant will need to be proficient in Automotive Spare Parts and able to easily fit in with our Retail Parts team and work closely with our Service Team and Retail customers.

The Parts Interpreter - Retail role will include but not limited to:

Forecasting parts needs and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels

Monitoring the current parts inventory

Pricing parts to maintain profitability

Receiving parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labelling them

Helping internal and external customers find and purchase the correct parts

Overseeing special orders are correctly interpreted, and where possible paid for in advance

Collaborating with the service department to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs

Dealing with customer enquiries at point of sale and collecting cash payments

Reporting all damages, faulty equipment or accidents to the Parts Manager

Obey all safety guidelines whilst around forklifts or using equipment

When and if operating a forklift, ensure daily check is undertaken and any faults reported

Maintain the retail office and warehouse, keeping it clean, safe and manageable

Maintaining effective communications with all staff

Work to strict deadlines to ensure that all commitments to customers are met

Carry out all work instructions within set timeframes

Assist with Stock Takes and Stock Control

The successful applicant must:

Have previous experience in Automotive Dealership Spare Parts

Have/or be prepared to obtain a Forklift Licence

Have good Numeracy & Literacy skills

Speak fluent English

Have basic computer literacy

Pride themselves on their customer service and can-do attitude

Be competent in understanding Dangerous Goods safe work practices, storage and packaging

Ability to multitask with high attention to detail

Be a co-operative team player who can also work autonomously to set procedures and deadlines

Be reliable with a strong work ethic, while being enthusiastic and adding to a positive team environment.

Have high personal standards of honesty & integrity

Be willing to follow their manager's instructions to ensure customer's needs are met

This is a Full Time Position on-site position, 8am - 5pm - 5 Days. We offer a Generous Weekly Salary & Monthly RDO & Commission!
