The Role
As the Digital Communications Manager, you will lead a team responsible for delivering impactful digital and social media strategies that support ACTU campaigns and union movement growth. Reporting to the Campaigns Director, you will:
Ā· Develop and implement innovative digital and social media strategies aligned with ACTUās objectives.
Ā· Lead and manage a high-performing digital communications team.
Ā· Oversee digital campaign execution, performance measurement, and reporting.
Ā· Collaborate with internal teams, affiliates, and stakeholders to amplify campaign impact.
Ā· Provide strategic leadership in digital marketing and advertising.
Ā· Use data insights to optimise communication strategies and audience engagement.
Key Selection Criteria
Essential:
Ā· Minimum of 5 yearsā experience in a similar role, including team leadership.
Ā· Experience working with unions or community organisations.
Ā· Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ā· Strong judgment and discretion in politically sensitive environments.
Ā· Commitment to union values, social justice, and cultural diversity.
Desirable:
Ā· Relevant tertiary qualifications.

The ACTU offers a competitive salary range of $138,522 ā 157,436, depending on skills and experience, along with:
Ā· Additional 15% superannuation
Ā· Annual leave loading
Ā· Working from home opportunities
Ā· Generous leave arrangements, including up to 5 additional days of annual leave
Ā· The opportunity to work a rostered day off arrangement
