A global mining and resources manufacturer is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join its Data Science team and drive the implementation of Generative AI solutions. In this 12-month contract, you'll work on translating business needs into technical specifications, collaborating with data scientists and engineers to deliver innovative AI-driven capabilities.

The Role:
You'll partner with stakeholders across the organisation to gather requirements, analyse large datasets, and support the design, testing, and deployment of AI models. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that AI solutions align with business objectives and technical standards, as well as providing training and support to end users.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for GenAI projects

Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and data models

Work with data scientists, AI engineers, and developers to design and implement AI solutions

Analyse large datasets to identify trends and inform model development

Develop and execute test plans to validate AI models and solutions

Maintain comprehensive documentation of project requirements, designs, and test results

Provide training and support to end users to ensure effective adoption of AI tools

Stay current with AI advancements and recommend improvements to existing solutions

What You'll Bring:

Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (required)

5+ years' experience in a Technical Business Analyst role, ideally involving AI or data-driven projects

Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including NLP and neural networks

Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, and SQL

Experience with AI model testing, validation, and deployment

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Solid project management skills and familiarity with SDLC methodologies

Analytical, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
