About us

We are an artisan bakery and we currently have a position available for a coffee enthusiast with customer service skills and a bubbly, outgoing personality to bring the positive vibes on a daily basis.

Bread knowledge is a bonus but not a necessity. Our small batch and sustainable coffee beans are locally roasted by the team at Old Quarter. We do have high expectations with our coffee so please don't apply if you do not have the required skills or are unable to walk straight in and pour delicious brews! When you are not making coffee you will be expected to serve, clean and help the others on the team.

This role requires weekend work (one day) and may include early mornings- the store is open 6am - 5pm weekdays and 7am - 3pm weekends. The hours for this role are mainly afternoons shifts 9-5.30pm but flexibility is always appreciated. This is a casual role so days may vary from week to week but I do like to work from a set roster. aprox 20-25 hours a week, 3 days with one if the day being a weekend. No table waiting. This role has the opportunity to be a full time position for the right applicant. What we are looking for-

knowledge of weighing shots and extraction times

a genuine passion for coffee and providing a service for customers

adjustment of grind

latte art

min 2 years coffee experience

min 3 years customer service in a high paced environment

own car and licence essential

ability to keep calm under pressure

What you will be doing-

Work independently and within a team to create high quality coffee

welcoming customers and creating a warm environment

completing sales via POS (kounta)

Opening of store/closing of store including closing register

One day of the weekend will be required

daily cleaning tasks

Tasks to help prep for the following day

working as part of a team to get tasks done in a timely manner
