As the CMV Group continues to expand, we are excited to offer a rare opportunity for a highly creative, hands-on, and experienced Event Coordinator to join our dynamic marketing team. This part-time position (four days per week) focuses on the end-to-end delivery of our annual calendar of internal events—each designed to strengthen our employee value proposition and embody the values and culture of the CMV Group.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will collaborate closely with the broader marketing team to execute an engaging events program with a combined annual budget exceeding $1.4 million. This role also offers the opportunity for occasional intra- and interstate travel, adding variety and excitement to your work.
Key requirements of the role
- Coordinate the end-to-end event planning and delivery of key internal events including but not limited to:
- Senior Leadership conferences (SA & Vic)
- Annual Staff Dinners (SA & Vic)
- Annual Family Christmas Picnics (SA & Vic)
- Staff Christmas Hamper Program
- Venue sourcing and liaison
- Budget planning, management and tracking
- Stakeholder and supplier coordination
- RSVP and guest list management
- On the day event coordination and support
- Post event evaluation and feedback collection
- Collaborate with a high-performing Marketing team
Who you are:
- A natural organiser with a proven background in event planning and organisation.
- Creative thinker with a love for brainstorming fresh ideas and concepts.
- Detail-obsessed – Your sharp eye ensures nothing is overlooked, no matter how small the detail.
- Comfortable working on the ground and juggling multiple events and priorities concurrently.
- Calm and composed – You stay cool under pressure and adapt quickly when things don’t go to plan.
- Flexibility to travel and work outside of typical office hours when events require.
Skills / Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in event coordination or project/event management
- Demonstrated experience managing medium to large scale events from end to end
- Experience working with internal corporate events, ideally across multiple locations or business units
- Proven track record working with suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing event logistics
- Experience coordinating internal communications, invitations and stakeholder management
- Demonstrated experience in planning and managing an event budget
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Current driver’s license with access to a vehicle
