Mjølner

Mjølner is a sophisticated and fun restaurant created in Thor’s image, treating guests to a contemporary interpretation of Viking feasts and celebrations with a sense of escapism.

A completely immersive experience, guests enter through the heavy hand-carved wooden door, passing underneath an enormous Viking Ship jutting from the wall setting the scene for the epic food, beverage and service experience to come.

Starting with a welcome ‘Skål’ to the old Norse Gods served in custom glass horns, the food offering at Mjølner is the undoubted hero of the venue. Designed to surprise, delight and most importantly feast, our signature succulent mains cooked on rotisserie include Bird, Beast, Fish and Veg.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the batching program must be hands-on during the service
• Leading our bar team and ensuring our menu and drinks are on-trend
• Driving creativity within the team to maintain the quality of the drinks list
• Assisting and guiding team members through entering suggested cocktail competitions
• Work alongside an incredible team in providing memorable, personal and unique drinking and dining experiences for customers
• Ensuring product consistency with the high Mjølner standard
• Manage a P&L, weekly budget, forecasting and COGS costing.
• Carry on the legacy to push growth, training and the right culture within the venue and team

What You’ll Bring:

• 2 years + management experience in a similar role as well as living and breathing cocktails and spirits.
• Knowledge of beers, wine, spirits, and cocktails at an intermediate level.
• A passion for creating signature cocktails to a world-class standard
• Experience in managing a batching program
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while keeping your cool.
• Sociable and enjoy delivering a pleasurable and memorable experience for our guests.
• Excel in the management of team and guest satisfaction.
• Strong customer focus and have a passion for the industry.
• A high level of business, management and financial skills with a commitment to achieving outstanding results.
• Ability to manage a P&L, weekly budget, forecasting and COGS costing.
