About the Role
The Candidate successful in this role will be responsible for the preparation and assessment of new Developer Contribution Plans (DCP) and shall have carriage of proposed amendments to District Planning Scheme No. 2 (DPS2) relating to the introduction of new Special Control Areas, including liaison with relevant parties, preparation of costings, procurement of consultants and compliance with DCP operational requirements. The role engages with internal and external stakeholders in the preparation of new DCPs in accordance with the requirement of State Planning Policy 3.6 (SPP3.6) and the associated Guidelines and the preparation and implementation of planning procedures for closing older operational DCPs.
About you
Under broad supervision of the Coordinator Scheme Contributions, this position is accountable for the provision of quality outcomes. The position will assist with the ongoing day-to-day tasks associated with the administration of developer contributions, including amendments to existing DCPs, annual review of DCP costs, income/expenditure projections and other DCP related project work. The position requires a highly developed understanding of town planning legislation and procedures, has the ability to engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders and meet strict reporting timeframes to ensure statutory compliance with the City of Wanneroo DPS2 requirements.
