A unique opportunity for an Operations Supervisor - Casual Contract - 3 days per week + Superannuation

PURPOSE
The role is to support the Director of Team Jake (Vic) Ltd, and to supervise and provide hands on support for the staff of a gentleman with complex disabilities to assist him to live safely and participate in his community.
The Team Supervisor will oversee the delivery of personalized support for a single client, a Service For One Operation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care. This part-time role combines administrative responsibilities, some direct support work, and the unique opportunity to help the client and his support team grow a micro-business.
It also provides flexibility to work a roster of day and evening shifts including overnight sleepover to work closely with the whole team who support him across 7 days per week - no weekend work required.

"This is NOT solely an Administrative role, you must be flexible with time and energy and have many skills across life including understanding of behavior support and therapy implementation - and be attuned to learn and understand what we do, how we do it and supervise the teams well.
With ongoing support from a multidisciplinary team, and Management Team, as the Operations Team Supervisor you will play a key role in fostering the client’s independence, well-being, and the Teams entrepreneurial success.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support and Care
Ensure all care services align with our client’s individual needs, preferences, and his NDIS plan and goals.
Ensuring all community access is done in a safe and meaningful way for participation and community inclusion.
Ensure his staffing are learning and working within the principals of person centered active support and following therapy implementations.
Micro-business Development
Support the client and his staff to grow a micro-business, with skills to attract new customers and encourage networking in the community.
Leadership and Team Management
Supervise and mentor a small team of disability support workers. Day and Night shifts
Foster co-operative, professional staff relationships, embrace good culture and diversity and build on a collaborative work environment
Ensuring policies and procedures are followed on shift
Ensuring all OH&S requirements are being meet on shift
Organize workshops and or in servicing as needed
Organize and manage Team Meetings
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including business mentors, to provide guidance and resources.
Attend management meetings with external stakeholders
Maintain our client management system records
Work with staff on any dispute resolution
Administration and Compliance
Provide Human Relations support for all staff
Assist in recruitment, training, and oversight of employee’s development
Maintain accurate records of care and business activities.
Organize annual personal reviews
Ensure compliance with NDIS guidelines, you must have a good working knowledge of the NDIS and how it operates, understand their policies and legislation
Maintain organizational policies and procedures.
Maintain our client management system recording
Collaboration and Communication
Act as the primary liaison between the client, their family, and external stakeholders.
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and integrated support.
Selection Criteria
Essential Criteria
Relevant qualifications in Disability Support, Community Services, Business Management, or a related field.
Experience in operational management, disability support, Human Resources,
Experience required in NDIS compliance and regulations
Prior experience working with clients - Autism, ADHD, Intellectual disability and direct support work as one day per week is working in an individualised day activity program.
Strong understanding of person-centered care
Strong understanding of behaviour support plans
Strong understanding of therapy supports
Demonstrated ability to balance administrative tasks with hands-on service delivery.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Availability for flexible scheduling, including day and evening shifts - fixed fortnight roster
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
Completed the NDIS modules
Current Police Check
First Aide Certificate, CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain.
Medication training certificate
Desirable Criteria
Experience in community, developing relationships with external interest a must.
Ability to develop networking in the community.
Experience in social enterprise/micro-business development an advantage although not a necessity
Proven experience working within a behavior support framework, understanding of behavior support plans and implementation
Previous experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
Use of client management recording systems.
Hours of operation:
Employment Type: Contract – 12 months - on going after 12 months
Hours: 30 hours per week
2 days Administration, in house = 16 hours per week working with the Director for implementation of role - 9am to 5pm (some hybrid hours offered)
1 day with day activity program per week working with the Team Leader = 8 Hours per week - to observe and learn how the operation runs. To support our client and his team. 9am to 5pm
Hours: Evening Shift – 1 shift per week including sleepover finish @ 9a.m. (Monday evening)
Evening shift start 5pm to 11am – 6 hours to observe and learn how the operation runs.
Sleepover: 11.00pm to 7 a.m.
Two additional hours of morning support 7.00 a.m. finish at 9 a.m.
Implementation of policies and procedures for evening staff, monitor performance.
Work-Life Balance: No weekend work required.
Total: 30 hours per week
