About the Role:

As a Disability Support Worker, you will begin in a casual capacity, providing flexible support tailored to the individual's needs, primarily focusing on:

Respite in the Home: Offering a supportive and engaging environment for individuals within their own homes, providing respite for family members and carers.

Community Access: Assisting individuals to participate in activities and connect with their community, fostering independence and social inclusion. This could include outings, appointments, swimming, social events, and more.

What We're Looking For:

- A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and a deep commitment to person-centered care as a long-term career.

- Minimum qualification of a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent).

- A current Victorian Driver's Licence and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.

- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC).

- Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certification.

- Current HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach, with a desire to learn and grow within the sector.
