About the role

Eliza Cattery Boutique Boarding is seeking a passionate Animal Attendant to join our friendly team in Mount Eliza, VIC. This is a casual role that will involve caring for our beloved feline guests and ensuring they have a comfortable and enjoyable stay with us.

What you'll be doing

Providing exceptional care and attention to our boarding cats, including feeding, grooming, playtime, and daily welfare checks

Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for our furry friends by cleaning enclosures, litter trays, and communal areas

Monitoring the health and behaviour of our guests and reporting any concerns to the Manager

Assisting with the arrival and departure of our guests, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process

Providing a calm and comforting presence to help anxious or stressed cats feel at ease

Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the wellbeing of both the animals and the team

Maintaining facilities and grounds.

What we're looking for

Previous experience working in an animal care or customer service role, ideally within a boarding, grooming or veterinary setting

A genuine passion for animals and a desire to provide the highest standard of care and customer service

Strong observation skills and the ability to identify changes in an animal's health or behaviour

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and team members

A calm, patient and adaptable approach to handling a variety of animal personalities and temperaments

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays
