ANIMAL CARER - Permanent hours: Casual rates

Boutique Pet Resort South East of Melbourne requires a motivated, energetic person to join our team. Our resort provides a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for dogs while their owners are away.

This position will appeal to dog lovers who enjoy working in a team environment and MUST have the following…

They will need to have a high level of attention to detail

They will need to be accountable and responsible and have a strong work ethic

They will have a strong understanding of dog behaviour and body language

Experience working in a boarding facility is preferred, however others will be considered and we will provide full training to the successful candidate.

Duties will include….

Preparing meals, feeding and administering medications

Cleaning and disinfecting to a high standard

Health checks, weighing and bathing/drying of each guest

Moving dogs between accommodation and exercise yards

Laundry duties

This position is 30-40 hours per week and will include some weekends on a roster basis. Candidates will need to be available to work during school holidays, long weekends and peak periods i.e. Christmas/Easter and public holidays

Candidates with previous dog handling experience would be ideal.
